A Billion for renewables

Offering 62 Megawatt of rated power and an investment volume of in total 83 million Euro the wind park Klettwitz in Brandenburg was Europe’s largest wind park at the time of its commissioning in the year 2000. For the Ventotec GmbH, being primarily responsible for this major project, Klettwitz was the start of an impressive success story in renewables. The company with 60 employees located in the town of Leer, lower Saxony, has in the meantime erected wind turbines with a total of 750 Megawatt; this corresponds to an investment volume of over one billion Euros.

Behind the success are the two managing directors, Helmer Stecker and Ralf Heinen; they however emphasise that the entire Ventotec-team contributed decisively to the positive development of the company in the past years.
